Taste
The whole principal of Celtic Pride is that you can rely on every purchase having the same premium standard and quality, with a consistent flavour and tenderness whether a steak, a roasting joint or mince.
As the Celtic Pride brand continues to increase, more and more people are asking for Celtic Pride by name, either because they've tried it or it's been recommended that they should try it.
Protected Geographical Indication
Welsh Beef is currently in a strong position as the product is recognised at an European level to have unique regional characteristics. It is because of these characteristics that Welsh Beef has been awarded the Protected Geographical Indication (PGI). Granted in 2002 by Europe in recognition of the quality of Welsh Beef. PGI provides customer reassurance that only cattle born, reared and slaughtered in Wales can be branded as Welsh.
Tracebility
Beef marked under Celtic Pride brand can be traced from the farm to the customer, and is produced and processed in Wales to meet the highest standards of quality, health, taste, flavour and food safety.
These standards are achieved by the adoption of best practice in production, procurement and processing with the meat being matured for 21 days. Celtic Pride Beef is produced from cattle born, reared, finished and processed in Wales, in semi-intensive or extensive systems of production in which grass and other home-grown feeds form the major part of the animals' lifetime diet (as nature intended). No hormones or chemical additives to speed growth or increase weight are used. This isn’t just Beef, this is Premium Celtic Pride Beef.
